About Us

Hello, I'm in my 30's, I work at home, and currently live in Italy. My work tool — my laptop — seems to have become an extension of my arm, and it only seems natural to me to look for recipes online. They can be from any place in the world, so most of the time I need to convert their measurements.

Now, being a bit of a geek, I started comparing different cooking websites' conversion tools results... and guess what... they differ quite a bit! And I wasn't picking some shady websites. I've compared the most famous ones from the US, UK, Australia, and more. I won't name names, I'm simply a little disappointed.

So I bought a digital scale (online), and asked my husband (he's an engineer/programmer and the most brilliant person I know) to program me a goooood, precise, conversion tool. He cross-checked our weighing results, corrected when needed, and made this website possible.
